At Pirean, we provide a safe and healthy working environment, adhering strictly to Health and Safety regulations and we are independently audited. We have a strong ethic code, and a strong policy against bribery and corruption, and we work together with our staff to improve our working practices.
Putting back into the community is important to us, and we sponsor numerous charities. We also operate a charitable giving programme, enabling our employees to give generously and enable them to receive the maximum benefits when doing so.
Where possible we work with local charities for activities such as IT recycling schemes. We donate our unused IT equipment to a local charity, Jamie’s Computers, who repair, restore and recycle computers for under-privileged individuals and charities.
At every stage of our supply chain we ensure that we are acting responsibly, and our suppliers operate ethically and in consideration of their environmental impact. We subscribe to BSI’s ISO140001 for our environmental governance, working to achieve their robust environmental policies.
We recycle all of our paper waste, securely disposing of written materials. This service is provided by Shred-it Limited, who explain that we “saved 10 trees” in our recycling last year.
We are proud to support and champion Corporate Social Responsibility. We ensure we only use ethical sources who give consideration to sustainability.
For the past two years Pirean has been an active sponsor of the White Hat Ball, an event held by the IT community to raise money for NSPCC’s service, Childline. The final tally for this years event came to £100,000, making it one of the biggest fund raising events for Childline.
Pirean are proud to have been involved and are committed to continuing our support.
