Quick Start for Compliance:One
Reduce complexity and gain rapid ROI through a single console for Identity and Access Management.
Through Quick Start for Compliance:One, Pirean can work with you to install, configure and support your Compliance:One implementation to a new or existing ITIM estate quickly.
For existing ITIM customers, the Quick Start programme provides a simple model for installation and configuration as part of an existing deployment. Once configured, the solution can be enabled on an application by application or business unit by business unit basis.
For new ITIM customers, Quick Start for Compliance:One takes you through the design, installation and configuration process; taking you from the early stages of data gathering and analysis to the successful deployment and configuration of ITIM and Compliance:One.
Whilst the timeframe for each Quick Start implementation is dependent on the needs of the business, a typical installation follows a six week build and deployment schedule:
Week One: Appraisal of Architecture / Base Build
Pirean experts work with your onsite infrastructure team to ensure that the key baseline architecture is in place, this includes the deployment of key software onto the target infrastructure (or the checking and adjustment to any existing software deployment).
Week Two: Configuration of Compliance:One
The Compliance:One tool is tailored from the ground up to your corporate environment. We work with your key business stakeholders to understand the structure of your business, the actors and roles that exist and how they should be configured within the tool. At the end of this phase the Compliance:One tool is ready for use pending the onboarding of data feeds.
Pre-Requisites
Compliance:One is an extension to the IBM Tivoli Software portfolio, using the underlying architecture of IBM Tivoli Identity Manager to power the Quick Start.
In addition to Compliance:One, the following software components will be installed in your environment:
- IBM Tivoli Identity Manager
- IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator
- IBM Tivoli Directory Server
- Websphere Application Server
- IBM DB2
Week Three: Data Analysis Starts
With Compliance:One built with a configuration specific to your business needs, the only task remaining is to begin onboarding your business data.
At this stage our Business Analysis team will work with your key technical resources to identify relevant Personal Data covering the user base that will be managed through Compliance:One as well as Application Data for all of the assets that will have their access rights tracked and managed.
Weeks Four & Five: Data Analysis Continues
The following two weeks are spent continuing to identify data sources and producing technical specifications.
In parallel with this the Compliance:One team will deploy adapters for your data sources that have been analysed, gradually taking the data into the system in readiness for “Go Live”.
Week Six: Training and Switch-On
The start of week 6 brings a fully deployed and functioning version of the Compliance:One console. The console will have data onboarded in accordance with the progress made by the Business Analysis team and will already be configured to support your business model. All that remains is for the key users of the system to receive training and for the console to be made “Live”.
At this stage your company will have a deployment of Compliance:One, complete with your own business data and users managing the compliance of your assets to Sarbanes Oxley Standards
Rolling Start
Deploying Quick Start to a specific business area and set of assets as a Pilot scheme is often the most cost and time-effective route to realising the full potential of Compliance:One.
By allowing for a strong set of success criteria to be determined in advance within a reduced environment organisations often find they are better prepared for a wider deployment - which can be achieved simply by continuing the Data Analysis and adapter deployment phases.
